MARRIAGE

The Marriage Ministry’s purpose is to equip couples with tools to strengthen their relationship with God and each other. Through teaching and fellowship, the ministry seeks to provide a space where couples can share experiences and wisdom.

SINGLE

The Singles Ministry’s purpose is to develop Spirit-filled singles who are committed and content in their single season to pursue a closer walk with Jesus Christ. Recognizing that singles are not limited to those who have never been married, the ministry also embraces the widowed and divorced.

MEN

The Men’s Ministry’s purpose is to spiritually position ourselves to edify, and to encourage each other; to effectively evangelize and witness to the lost; to promote personal relationships with Christ, and to exalt the Savior. This ministry encourages men to be the spiritual leaders in their homes, in the church and in the workplace.

WOMEN

The Women’s Ministry’s purpose is to spiritually position ourselves to edify, and to encourage each other; to effectively evangelize and witness to the lost; to promote personal relationships with Christ, and to exalt the Savior.

YOUTH

The Youth Ministry’s purpose is to prepare our youth to be spiritual leaders in their homes, church, government and workplace. This ministry seeks to teach our youth to apply biblical principles to everyday life situations.

OUTREACH

The Outreach Ministry’s purpose is to prepare and send disciples of Jesus Christ beyond the walls of this church as compassionate servants, responding with Christian love to the needs of the lost and broken in our community and our world.

HOSPITALITY

The Hospitality Ministry’s purpose is to provide a warm, welcoming environment for both guests and members with fresh flower arrangements and a clean, comfortable sanctuary. They also organize and serve at church-wide receptions and social events when needed. This ministry will also support members and guests when various needs and special occasions arise, such as sickness and funereal services.

INTERCESSORY PRAYER

The Altar Workers Ministry’s purpose is to assist people who respond to altar openings by upholding them in prayer and agreeing with them for an answer to their prayers. When the altar is opened for prayer, the Altar Workers assemble and match up appropriately to pray for the people who come to the altar. This ministry requires active church membership and training in altar work.

MEMBERSHIP

The Membership Ministry’s purpose is to actively guide and introduce new Christians and new members into church life. We assist new members through a process of welcoming, mentoring, and educating; thereby demonstrating the importance of a close and obedient walk with the Lord and active participation in the local church. Also, responsible for keeping all church members informed of relevant events that impact Membership.

GREETERS

The Greeter Ministry’s purpose is to represent Christ to all that come to worship at the church. They serve as the hosts of the building in which believers and strangers gather to seek and learn about God. They are also responsible for the maintenance and general upkeep of the church property.

IT SUPPORT

The IT Support Ministry’s includes both Audio Visual and Technical Support. The Audio/Visual team provides support for church services and activities through the management of the audio equipment and visual aids, the recording and reproduction of services, as well as maintenance of electronics. The Technical Support team is responsible for the development and maintenance of the church website and mobile application, as well as technical assistance with hardware and software.

MUSIC

The Music Ministry’s purpose is to lead the church in the praise and worship of God. They provide a dedicated time of uninterrupted praise and worship using songs and musical instruments, allowing people to redirect their focus off themselves and their circumstances, and placed on God and His Glory.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to bring Heaven to earth by loving God, loving others and loving ourselves.

We demonstrate our love for God by spending time daily in prayer, praise, worship and through selfless service to others.

We demonstrate our love for others by sacrificial giving of our tithes and offerings, intercession, hospitality and sharing the message of Christ.

We demonstrate our love for self through obedience to God’s word, seeking His plan for our lives and by pursuing a healthy lifestyle.

OUR VISION

We desire to build a community of disciples who are consumed with spreading God’s love. In so doing, we desire to impact the way people view and treat God, themselves and others. Our hope is that GWCC would bring Heaven to earth through God’s love.

OUR BELIEFS

We are a Christian Church and believe that all can have a relationship with God. We believe this relationship with God is possible because of Jesus (God’s only son) who invites us to follow him. We believe that Christians are the “church” and that when we come together as one, we are an extension of the greater Body of Christ. If you are interested in exploring the Christian faith, then please come along on a Sunday or contact the church to ask for additional information.
